Community Support

Community Support

The Community Support Coordinator, Naomi Gass, is employed by Martock Parish Council to offer a local social care service to residents of the parish through one to one work and through the running of services.

The purpose of this role is to help address issues of social isolation, health and well-being by working alongside individuals in whatever way best meets their needs. This could be to act as an advocate; to support individuals to access other services and groups; to help residents to gain skills to build independence and resilience through action planning and developing practical self-care skills and developing their community network.

Most of us will need some extra support at some stage in our lives and in Martock we are striving to strengthen individuals and the community as a whole, by building skills and resilience.

With local support we can deal with whatever life throws at us. A little bit of help at the right time makes a big difference. We want to support you to solve small problems before they become big ones.
