Please note that due to Covid the service may be a friendly telephone call. When possible and with mutual agreement a home visit may be organised.
Do you or someone you know feel isolated or lonely?
There are many reasons why someone may feel isolated or lonely and it can sometimes be difficult to admit. People can become isolated because of ill health, bereavement, disability, poor mobility, a caring responsibility, no family, a busy family or loved ones that live away.
A volunteer befriender who is thoughtfully matched offers regular time and companionship and an opportunity for…..
- A cup of tea and a chat
- A friendly face to accompany you to a local group or activity
- Someone to share a hobby with or to start a new one!
Might you like to volunteer as a befriender?
