Martock Job Club
Martock Job Club has been running in Martock since 2012. The service supports those living in the Parish of Martock and Kingsbury Episcopi, South Pertherton, Ash, Long Load, Norton Sub Hamdon and Stoke Sub Hamdon.
Martock Job Club aims to provide a friendly and safe place, where we will support you with the tools and confidence to find employment, access to training and education, volunteering opportunities and support with applying for universal credit.
The Job Club is a relaxed environment offering a cup of tea and a chat, with the chance to meet others also looking for work or a change of career. Being unemployed, starting in your first job or changing careers can be daunting on your own, but as a member of Martock Job Club you face these challenges with support and guidance.
The Job Club is run by the Job Club Coordinator and volunteering team. The volunteers themselves have had periods of unemployment, changed careers, or started again following time away from the workplace. Collectively the team has experience in Marketing, Business start-up, Financial Services, Housing, Administration, HR, Information Technology and Public Sector Services.
When entering the Job Club you will be greeted by a member of the team, who will complete a registration with you and discuss what support you feel you need. Once registered you will have access to laptops and tablets as well as weekly jobs advertised on job boards.
