Good Neighbour Befriending Scheme
Do you or someone you know feel isolated or lonely?
There are many reasons why someone may feel isolated or lonely and it can sometimes be difficult to admit. A volunteer befriender who is thoughtfully matched offers regular time and companionship:
- A home visit for a cup of tea and a chat
- A friendly face to accompany you to a local group or activity
- Someone to share a hobby with or to start a new one
- A friendly telephone call
Might you like to volunteer as a befriender, if you have a couple of hours to spare, are an active listener and enjoy the company of others?
Martock Friends Group
A fun and friendly group for seniors who come together for companionship, lunch and to enjoy a varied programme of activities.
Thursdays from 10.30-1.30pm at Martock Parish Hall,

A locally made meal is available, booking a week in advance or you are welcome to bring your own packed lunch.
Jigsaw Puzzle Bank
