Flood Update

A heavy spell of rain between 2.50am and 5.20am, has caused river levels to rise, and further heavy showers are forecast throughout the day.

No reports of flooding in the Parish have been received.

Chiselborough ​- Current Level 0.96m rising. Floods at 1.8m. 

Gawbridge – Current Level  1.31m rising. Floods at 2.80m. 

Long Load ​- Current Level in Flood 8.38m rising. Floods at 9.26m.

Witcombe Bottom – Current Level 8.39m steady. Floods at 8.44m 

Ilchester – Current Level 0.81m falling. Floods at 2.90m

Pen Mill, Yeovil – Current Level 0.93m steady. Floods at 3.34m


Martock to South Petherton Road – ​OPEN 

​Stoke Road, Martock – OPEN with surface water, care required. The rising level Flood Alarm on the in flow to the village activated at 5.45am, 01.03.24, and is rising quickly, and will be monitored.

Coat Road, Coat – OPEN with some surface water likely on the Coat Road, (Stapleton to Coat), section 50 metres on the Stapleton side of the old Railway Bridge, care required. 

Sparrows Corner, B3165, Bower Hinton – OPEN

Foldhill Lane, 500m from A303, some surface water care required.
